Me and My Why
My name is Joanna. There is nothing fabulous or amazing about me; I am an almost 45 year old woman who loves to travel and hike. I love it even more when I can combine these two hobbies, and I try to do it as often as my pocketbook, and my day job, allows me. I also love to write and take pictures. I am always the last in line on any given hike because I am just as busy trying to get that shot, as I am walking- sometimes busier! I don’t mind, though, because I always get there eventually, and I’m blessed with a fiance and friends who don’t mind, either!
So why are we here? I decided to try my hand at a blog because I wanted to help others find the beautiful places I was finding, and maybe help them see them even if they couldn’t get there themselves. I use apps like “All Trails” and “Washington Trails Association” (for Washington State hikes) but each one has its specific strengths and can sometimes leave out tiny details, like what permits are needed or where to park. This often requires going back and forth between the two, as well as other sites, to try to find all the important information you need to plan a visit. I’m hoping to give you ALL the information, in one place, along with tips and a “head’s up” for some of the surprises we found along the way.
Since I’m new to this, please feel free to make suggestions of things you’d like me to add to my posts, or things you’d rather I left out! I will also gladly take suggestions of places you think I should check out next; have something on your list you’ve been dying to check out, but haven’t had a chance? Send me to troubleshoot it for you! I can’t make promises regarding how quickly I may get there, but I will always take any suggestions under serious consideration! I hope you enjoy, but most important, I hope you find my blog helpful on your adventures.
Thanks for visiting my site, and here is to fair weather and happy trails!
Joanna
